The things that could make this a better photograph are so minor!! I adore the capture, it feels so real, totally in-the-moment. I enjoy that he isn't looking directly at the camera. It leaves one to wonder what sparked the moment and what he is looking at. As a portrait itself this is great, but knowing that there is a waterfall behind him and not being able to distinguish it is sort of disappointing; but at the same time leaves other viewers to be able to put him in their own setting. Also, i am slightly distracted by what is in his hand. Since i can only see a small fraction of it i'm constantly wondering wat it is...i'd say crop it, but it wouldn't look right. His right shoulder is amputated so that relieves some of the really nice semetry you could have. Despite the tiny fixes that could improve the picture, it is a great capture and very well done!
