*COMPETITION!* -
Hello there. I am holding a competition for you all.
Yes, it has a cash incentive. Don't worry.
All you have to do is take a portrait of someone you would say looks *visually interesting*.
This can be interpreted however you like. It might be your grandfather, it might be a stranger.
Try your very best to take the image with the person looking towards the camera and filling most of the frame. Use this example of Mr Nicholson as an idea of the composition, but if you have a better idea try it out!
[link]The reason behind this competition is that I want to put together a series of images taken around the world, and retouched by myself so that they all match in a general way. I love the idea of many photographers combing works and all looking like they belong in the same series.
So, *please keep the image un-edited*. But no RAWs please, as they become a pain when transferring around the web.
- *PRIZE* -
Here is the fun incentive. For every person that gets used in the series, the prize money will go up a dollar. If 50 people submit a portrait that is useable it will be $50. A pretty tidy sum of money for one image!
(I have just realised this is very dangerous if people cheat and put up 50 images or so
I will run out of money! So I won't be going higher than $100)
- *RULES* -
One image per person.
No manipulations. Cloning off a dust spot on the sensor etc is fine.
Larger that 2000 pixels on its smallest side. These must be hi res, as they may be used as part of this project.
Jpegs / png / tiff only please
By entering this competition, you are agreeing that you are happy to take place in this series. You will retain all rights to the original image, but I will be retouching these so that they all match in a colour theme.
I will then email all of the submitters with ideas about what we can do with this series
*Email submissions to gordonmcbryde@gmail.com*
Deadline is the *1st of December*

If you have any questions, email me please.
Good luck!
Gordon
